After a weekend at VIR we headed to Lynchburg to spend the week with Brad, Amy, and little Charlotte. We had quite a time unloading the camper. Brad's driveway is an incline, with basically no flat area. When we first took it off the truck
there was fear of the camper taking off down
into the backyard and crashing into bamboo.

We solved the problem and ended up putting the Skamper down on center blocks to make it level. The process was a bit unnerving. Chris changed the brakes with the help of Brad, and Joe (of course I had the honor of pumping the brakes). Chris also added a tachometer. I made modifications to the Skamper. I put a shelf in our closet, hung some hooks, and organized our clothes, etc. Every night we had a home cooked meal that was delicious, thank you Amy and Brad! On Friday, Chris' birthday, he got the chocolate pie he had been talking about for a week. He didn't think that I had made him one:) Amy, Charlotte and I went to pick out a tree for the backyard, a weeping cherry, and the boys went and picked it up in the truck. The tree was planted on Chris' birthday, it is Charlotte's tree. Brad and Amy will take pictures of Charlotte as she grows by her tree (the weeping cherry is featured in pictures posted). Charlotte May was bigger than big, a little person running around, with big bright eyes, and a appetite for meat:). Precious. She changed every day, she got cutter every day. We are thankful for the time we got to spend with them.
