Once we crossed the Chessapeak Bay Bridge-Tunnel we shot north traveling on Hwy 13 up the Delmarva Peninsula. We left Virginia behind entering Maryland, then Delaware. We didn't make any major stops along the way but took snap shots as we traveled. Day, as usual, turned into night but we didn't stop driving. We did however come across a service area, like a rest area, but with gas, several stores, and a food-court area. We vote more of them, they are practical. With no purchase we returned to the truck to resume traveling north.

We passed over Philadelphia, and over Scranton (where The Office T.V. series was based), and didn’t stop until we hit Johnson City, NY. We rested well at a Walmart, and I enjoyed the train passing through about 300 feet away. The sound of the train was soothing to me, and it made me remember how awesome trains are and how much I like them.
