Chris and I spent two days at this spot on the river, in Traverse City. Our nights were spent at Mjers (similar to a Walmart), and our days by the river. We found this little spot looking for free parking, state buildings, public libraries, etc. are a good place to look. Watching rowers, small boats carrying fishermen, and families with little children taking sunset rides was fun. And the wildlife entertained us. Chris got some great pictures of a Red-winged Blackbird (a bird that we first saw in Sned-Acres), these birds make an unusual beautiful call, unlike any I have ever heard. And he also got a photo of Chippie, a little chipmunk that seems to follow us place to place:).
